1 year agoSeveral people, males & females, were taken into custody in Fridley between 8 - 10 p.m. after having made access into sewer tunnels near the Minneapolis Water Works facility. The incident was reported near 1xx 45th Ave NE. Several were taken into custody along E River Rd.

According to the city of Minneapolis, crews are responding to a "major water main break" in the area of North 2nd Street, between North 26th and Lowry Avenues-KARE 11
FRIDLEY: Officers from several agencies are in the area of 45th Ave. and Main St. with a number of people who are trespassing in the sewer after making entry through a manhole cover. Officers have a few in custody but say there are several more people still in the sewer

OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING: Officers were involved in a shooting at 6:10 p.m. this evening on the 1000 block of Hudson Road. The person shot was transported to Regions Hospital. No officers were injured. Watch here for information about a media availability later tonight

The suspect then reportedly attempted to carjack a driver nearby, officers aired "shots fired" and that the suspect was down. Per paramedics, the suspect had multiple gunshot wounds and was in critical condition while being transported. No apparent injuries to officers
Police initially arrived in the area after the reported domestic assault and located the male suspect, who was also reported to have several felony warrants, when he fled from them on foot. Police said the suspect pointed the gun at officers shortly after they arrived
