Police are currently investigating an incident at 1744 Suburban Ave after receiving reports of shots fired at a Target store. One person was shot and unfortunately, multiple user videos indicate that the victim has died as a result of the shooting
St. Paul police say one person is dead following a shooting Thursday morning
SPPD has confirmed this is a fatal shooting and a homicide investigation is underway. The victim who was found near the fire station has died of their injury at the scene

The suspect was described as an unknown-race male wearing a black backpack, white hoodie and skinny blue jeans. He may have exited a black Chrysler 300 before firing the shots. A victim was reported at a nearby fire station, but the extent of their injuries is unclear

Police say are now calling this a hostage situation with the suspect's girlfriend who is still in the car. The scene is still active tonight
