2 year agoAlso happening in St Paul overnight, @sppdmn detectives are investigating a domestic shooting on the 400 block of Sherburne Ave. A male was found shot in the chest and was rushed to Regions Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time

Medic 6 reported the trooper was struck in the head by a "duck" that came through the windshield of the chopper. He didn't lose consciousness and was vitally stable en route to Regions around 12:15 a.m
An officer advised dispatch that an escort to the hospital wasn't needed, that medics would transport the injured trooper, who was reportedly struck in the head. It was apparently multiple birds that hit the chopper while it was in the air
