A Lakeville middle school principal who was on leave during a law enforcement investigation was arrested Tuesday, according to Dakota County jail records. Chris Endicott was booked in the Dakota County Jail, on suspicion of harassment, the records show. Jail records state he was arrested by Apple Valley police. Charges are still pending, but Endicott is expected to appear in court Thursday.
Two girls from Wisconsin reported missing are safe after they showed up at the Minneapolis Police Department's 5th Precinct station. On Monday, the department said 15-year-old Audrey Patricia Nash and 15-year-old Candus Jean Flodin were last seen in the Canal Park area. On Tuesday, the Duluth Police Department said the two girls might be in Mankato or Minneapolis.
A Minnesota family is heartbroken after an accident ended the life of their 7-year-old son. Simon Caquelin of St. Paul had only been at the Fred C. Andersen Boy Scout camp in Wisconsin for one night when he was severely injured on Jan. 27.

BA Hastings, Minn., man has pleaded guilty to a felony charge in a case involving a 2016 hit-and-run that caused the death of a 10-year-old girl, according to an Aitkin County Attorney's Office spokeswoman.
A woman suffered injuries that were life-threatening Wednesday evening, Jan. 31, after her vehicle went into the ditch and hit a tree. The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 59-year-old Jeanette Marie Karkinen, of Menahga, Minn., was southbound on Highway 71 near 384th Street when at 5 p.m., her 2017 Chevrolet Spark went off the road and struck a tree.
One man was killed and a police officer was injured in an officer-involved shooting in St. James, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The BCA said Nicollet County sheriff's deputies spotted a vehicle Wednesday morning that had been reported stolen in New Ulm. Officers pursued the car, but later called the pursuit off for safety reasons.

A St. Paul man was sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to assaulting a 3-week-old child, leaving the baby with a skull fracture and a broken leg. Gerald Monte Hinton, 20, was sentenced Tuesday in a Ramsey County court. Hinton received 120 days in the Ramsey County Jail and 10 years of probation.

One person is dead following a shooting at a convenience store in St. Paul Monday night. The incident happened at the Quick Stop Market on the 600 block of Payne Avenue. Authorities say there is no threat to the public, but they are questioning people about the incident.

A 26-year-old Moorhead man was being held Saturday, Jan. 27, in Cass County Jail after he allegedly stole a vehicle from an acquaintance and led police on an early morning chase through Moorhead and Fargo
Moorhead Police arrested a man Friday morning after he threatened his neighbors with a knife. Police responded to a distrubance call on the 1800 block of Belsly Blvd. at around 2 a.m. on Friday, Jan 26. When they arrived, they learned 30-year-old Jay Rurup had entered a neighbor's home and threatened the people inside with a knife. Police say Rurup was looking for his girlfriend. When Rurup found his girlfriend, whose name has not been released, he forced her back to his home.

A 50-year-old pilot was found dead after his single-engine experimental aircraft was discovered Wednesday morning, Jan. 24, after the plane was reported missing on Tuesday, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said. Authorities later Wednesday identified the pilot as Matthew James Skwira, of Rice.
Police say a man who tried to hold up a liquor store in the Twin Cities metro has died after an employee shot him. Maplewood officers were called to Princess Liquors shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. Authorities say two suspects attempted to rob the liquor store and began to assault one of the employees. Another employee confronted the suspects and fired a gun, striking one of them.
Two people were hurt after a crash on Highway 29 and County Road 52. Nineteen-year-old Caitlyn McKnight of Bertha, Minn. was traveling northbound on Highway 29 when she sideswiped another vehicle going southbound driven by 18-year-old Aubreenna Seals of Wadena, Minn.

A 25-year-old Rochester man is being held in jail after he shot and killed a teenager after the two were in a vehicle crash over the weekend in the southern Minnesota city. Alexander William Weiss is being held on probable cause for second degree after he shot Muhammed Rahim, 17, also of Rochester, in the chest, police said. Weiss told police it was in self-defense.
Two people hurt after a rollover crash in Bemidji
Authorities in southern Minnesota say a shooting after a Sunday morning car crash left a 17-year-old boy dead and a 25-year-old man in custody. The Rochester Police Department says the shooting, based on statements from witnesses, does not appear to be an incident of road rage. The shooting happened near the intersection of 31st Street and East River Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Muhammed Rahim, of Rochester, lying in the road with a gunshot wound to his chest.
