A propane heater likely started a fire that destroyed a Jennie-O turkey barn in New York mills, Minnesota early Friday morning. The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office says they were called to the scene, 41963 County Highway 53, around 12:15 a.m. When deputies and fire personnel arrived on scene, the barn was fully engulfed.
A Cloquet woman who reported hearing strange sounds in her basement last week discovered a home intruder who was wanted by police after a domestic incident, authorities said. Kent David Olson, 46, reportedly grabbed the woman by the arm, telling her that he was cold and had been there all afternoon. He then brandished a knife, stole the victim’s cellphone and left, according to the Cloquet Police Department

A man is hurt after a rollover crash on Interstate 94, east of Dalton at 11:06 p.m. on Sunday. 21-year-old Hassan Fofana of Champlin, Minnesota was heading westbound on the highway when his car left the road and rolled over in the median.
Authorities say a man is dead after a house fire in west-central Minnesota. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office says the fire was report shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday at the house east of Lake Lillian. When deputies arrived, the man who lived in the home was unaccounted for. The Star Tribune reports firefighters later found his body inside the house.

Two people are in the hospital after a 4 vehicle crash in Otter Tail County on Friday, January 5th at 5:26 p.m. According to a report by the Minnesota State Patrol, a GMC Sierra was crossing westbound from Otter Tail County Road 60 to Highway 10 when it was struck by a Toyota RAV4.
One person was injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash near Glyndon. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 7:12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, about 8 miles southeast of Glyndon. That's where a 2018 Kia Soul driven by Kristopher Michael Hammes, 44, of Sartell, Minnesota, was southbound on Highway 9 when it rear-ended a 2005 Acura TL driven by Devan Nicolas Foley, 18, of Glencoe, Minnesota, according to a news release. Hammes was sent to Essentia Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Foley was uninjured.
A woman is hurt after her car hit a semi-truck on Highway 71 around mile post 249 at 4:11 p.m. on Thursday. 34-year-old Mary Byman of Verndale, MN was driving south on the highway when she crossed over into the northbound lanes and hit the semi-truck below the driver side door.
Crews remain on the scene of an explosion Wednesday night in East Grand Forks. Despite below zero temperatures mixed with highly flammable materials it appears crews have saved the city's elevator. It frightened neighbors on the eastside of East Grand Forks, an explosion at the elevator rocked this neighborhood just before 7:00 p.m.

An 18-year-old man blew a stop sign and was hit by a school bus Wednesday, Jan. 3, in Norman County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Cody Derek Carlson, of Halstad, Minn., was driving a Chevy Cruze westbound on County Road 21 when at 3:15 p.m. he went through a stop sign where the road intersects with Highway 75, the patrol reported.

A Minnesota woman received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident near Medina Sunday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at 10:15 a.m. on Interstate 94 about 3 miles west of Medina in Stutsman County.
Firefighters responded to a house fire in the Northern Township in Bemidji on Monday at 10:20 p.m. Seventeen firefighters using two fire engines and two water tenders arrived on the scene and found that the living room was on fire.
Six people will need a new place to call home after fire gutted their trailer home in Coon Rapids on New Year's Day. Fire crews were dispatched to the 10300 block of Vale Street around noon after reports of a trailer on fire. When engines arrived they found the home engulfed. Officials say a half-dozen residents were able to escape safely, but a number of pets are believed lost to the fire. The list includes a dog, three cats, a ferret, and a tank full of exotic fish that includes a shark.

Wo people suffered smoke inhalation after a fire started in a Coon Rapids home Saturday. The incident occurred on 109th Avenue at about 3 p.m. Authorities say a mother and son were home at the time of the fire. The son attempted to drag his mother out of the house, however, he was unsuccessful.
